For his wake up response to rescue Nigerians from the sword and guns of vicious and dare devil South Africans, the House
of Representatives has said the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Mr. Allen Onyeama, deserved to be honoured by federal government.
It was applause and clapping when Onyeama, who faced deliberate hurdles in the hands of South African authorities in the course of his patriotic zeal to repatriate Nigerians back home as a result of the xenophobic attacks in that country.
In total, Air Peace, has risen to the call of nationalism to bring back home 502 Nigerians resident in that country.
Abdulrazak Namdas, Chairman, Committee on Army, said appreciating Onyeama will help to stimulate the morale booster needed to stimulate the economy.
He said: “In view of what a good number of Nigerians have said about him, I want to recommend to the President for him to honoured through the National Assembly.
When the motion was put to voice vote, the members unanimously approved it.
In his contribution, the Speaker of the House, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, while attesting to the good deeds of the Air Peace boss, acknowledged that the recognition of him as one of the epic moments of the House.
He said: “The honour being done to him was in recognition of his selfless service to Nigerians by the evacuation of Nigerians faced with the dangers of xenophic attacks in South Africa.
