The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoS), Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, has blamed the delay in the Implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage
to public servants due to the unrealistic demand by the senior staff union members.
Speaking at a two day retreat organised on Monday, for staff in her office and administrators of the various man power training iinstitues, she said that a presidential committee on consequential adjustment has been set up for the smooth execution of the minimum wage.
According to her, the senior staff members of the association should not be allowed to draw the hands of the clock back in the Implementation of the minimum wage.
She added that in the bid to avoid the continuos delay caused by the consequential delay which compelled them to sought approval that was granted by the president in April.
