Kaduna State Governor, Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, who is on the entourage of President Goodluck Jonathan at the ongoing Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in, Perth, Australia has stated that multilateral relationship and understanding is needed toward enhancing a robust economic activity in developing countries.
According to Yakowa, “Multilateral cooperation is seriously needed so that infrastructural development and economic progress of developing countries can attain sufficient socio-economic growth. He further added that good governance in developing countries would be attained when genuine cooperation comes into play.
“Countries cannot operate in isolation, what you have I don’t have, what others don’t have I have, so you can see like Mr. President just said we just have to cooperate”.
On Nigerian natural resources, Yakowa also noted that “God has blessed our country with natural resources, added to that we have human resources and potentials for investors willing to explore business opportunities in Nigeria.”
He also harps on security, saying, “all countries have one challenge or the other, but we are on top of the challenges in our country and with the help of God Nigeria is moving forward”.
