Labour Party wins Presidential election in Kuje

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Labour Party’s (LP) Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, winner of the election in Kuje Area Council, FCT.

Prof. Yusuf Abdul-Rasheed, the INEC Returning Officer for the Kuje Area Council election made the declaration at the INEC Collation Centre in Kuje.

The Labour Party candidate pulled 14287 votes to beat the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Sen. Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, who had 10648.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, had 10028 total votes.

Abdul-Rasheed said that Obi, haven scored the highest votes at the election, had won the Presidential election in Kuje Area Council.
