Updated : Bago plans 2Billion Poultry in Bosso LG…. Also a new General Hospital

The Givernor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago has announced that 2 billion dollar poultry and a new henral hospital will be constructed in Bosso local government area.

Popularly called Farmer Governor for his agricultural revolution in the state, he disclosed this in Maikunkele, headquarters of Bosso local government area during his engagement with the stakeholders of the area in continuation of his Statewide projects monitoring.

He said the construction of the poultry is in line with the livestock development initiative of the Federal Government, with Niger State government as a pilot State.

The farmer Governor who enumerated the numerous road projects ongoing in Bosso local area, enjoined the people to continue to rally round the present administration to ensure success.

He specifically called on those whose properties are affected in the road construction to show understanding and move away from the properties to speed up the projects, while reassuring them that full compensation will be paid to them.

The farmer Governor, who observed the increasing population in Bosso local government area, said a General Hospital will be built, to decongest the one in Minna and that the issue of electricity in Kodo will be looked into with a view to fixing it.

He applauded the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, for his good work to the people of his constituency.

The farmer Governor revealed that a mini stadium, skills acquisition centre will be constructed by the Senator in Bosso local government area and that 20 people from the Council will benefit from his Scholarship to Singapore.

He also appreciated the Member representing Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency, Baraje Yusuf Kure, for his support to the developmental strides of his administration.

Also speaking at the gathering, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, called for the continuous support of the people of Bosso local government and assured them of the commitment of the Bago-led administration in meeting their aspirations.

Niger East Senator, Mohammed Sani Musa in his remarks, commended the farmer Governor emphasizing that the administration of Bago has given priority to the people of Bosso local government area, especially in terms of its Agricultural policy as the Special Agro-industrial Processing Zone which would create direct and indirect jobs, falls within the Council area.

Member representing Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency, Baraje Yusuf Kure said he will support the efforts of the State government with the sum of N1 billion, provide fertilizer and other farm inputs to farmers to improve agricultural productivity.

In their separate remarks, Member, representing Bosso at the State Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman Gomna, Chairman of Bosso local government area, Ladidi Rakiya Bawa Bosso, appreciated the farmer Governor for the people-oriented projects he is executing in the local government area and beyond.

They, however, appealed for the rehabilitation of Bosso dam for improved water supply, more roads within the local government, feeder road from Garatu to Beji, and the appointment of 2 Permanent Secretaries among others and assured him of the continued support of the people of Bosso to his administration.

The title of Dan Malikin Bosso was conferred on the farmer Governor by the Hakimin Bosso, Alh. Adamu Lakka in recognition of his concern for the people of the local government area.

The Governor also promised to construct a new General hospital to take care of the health needs of citizens in Bosso Local Government Area (LGA).

Governor Bago stated this when he paid an official visit to Bosso as part of his tour to inspect on going projects across the 25 LGAs of the state.

The road project is expected to link Garatu with Maikunkele, Beji to Minna town is ongoing and that of Beji to Minna will be three lanes with solar lights to beautify the area”.

All the houses earmarked for demolition during the road construction will be compensated and urged the people of the areas to give the government the needed support to deliver on his electioneering campaign promises.

The state government will in addition to that establish poultry farming activities with the sum of $2b grant to enable Bosso people engage in poultry farming activities, and in addition rehabilitate of all government owned primary and secondary schools in the area.

Meanwhile, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, representing zone B, has applauded Governor Bago for various projects being embarked since assumption of office.

He said, “I am impressed with all the projects going on in Niger state by the Bago led government and, as Senator representing Niger-East (zone B) I will collaborate the governor in bringing development closer to my people”.

Governor Bago was received during the visit by the Chiarman of Bosso Local Government, Hajiya Ladidi Ruqaiyat Bosso, House of Assembly member representing Bosso, Hon Abubakar Suliaman.
