Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has urged his kinsmen and the people of the State to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
The Speaker made the call while playing host to his kinsmen (Awoghre clan) at his residence in Garaku, Kokona LGA today.
He said that Gov. Sule has passion for peace and development, hence the need for the people to continue to support him to succeed.
He appreciated his people for conferring on him with the traditional title of Agho-Ozhen Moa Awoghre meaning (The Leading Commander) of his people while assuring them of good leadership at all times.
“I want to appreciate you for the visit and for conferring on me with a traditional Title as your Leading Commander.
“I want to assure you that I will never disappoint you. Let’s continue to live in unity and peace irrespective of our affiliations for the overall development of the state” he said.
Jatau also called on them to continue to synergize with other ethnic groups for the overall development of their community and the state.
Earlier, Mr Moses Namo, the Leader of the delegation said that the visit was to appreciate the Speaker for the good things he is doing.
Namo said that their son, Jatau is performing well as Speaker of the 7th Assembly while assuring him of their continued prayers and support to succeed.
“The group seated before you are sons and daughters of Awoghre Osu carefully selected and mandated to deliver the following messages to you.
“To extend the clan’s appreciation, through the office of the Honourable Speaker to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr.. Abdullahi Sule for the trust and confidence reposed on our son, Dr. Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the 7th State Assembly.
“And Providing him with conducive environment through which lot of peoples oriented bills have been initiated and passed into law for the benefit and progress of the State.
“Especially the total peace that has been achieved since his assumption as the Speaker of the Assembly” He said.
He pledged their loyalty and unflinching support to the Speaker to succeed.
He called on the Speaker to expand his stewardship beyond the State Assembly and contest for House of Representatives for Karu/ Keffi/Kokona Federal constituency come 2027.
The Village Head of Awoghre, Mr Angbashim Affiku conferred the Speaker with a traditional Title of Agho-Ozhen Moa Awoghre (the Leading Commander of Awoghre Clan)
He also prayed for the Speaker to succeed in his political ambition and other endeavours.
