The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Area Councils Yoruba Community and its environs on Saturday, April 25, 2026, inaugurated new executive members to oversee the affairs of the association.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held at Junior Secondary School, Garki, Abuja, the President of the Association, Pastor Gabriel Oladapo, charged the newly elected executives to live up to expectations in the discharge of their duties and to work towards the growth and development of the association.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the newly inaugurated FCT executives include: Pastor Gabriel Oladapo as President; Alhaji Bilaminu Akinade as Vice President I; Pastor Olusegun Taiwo as Vice President II; Femi Lareiyatan as General Secretary; Abdulyakin Rukayat as Assistant Secretary; Ibitowa Rasheed as Treasurer; Moses Amos as Auditor; and Onanuga Adeyemi as Social Welfare Officer.
Similarly, the executives under the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) include: Hon. Seyi Oyeyiola as Chairman; Sangosoya Razak as Vice Chairman; Raphael Femi as Secretary; Yakubu Folorunsho as Financial Secretary; and Ramat Ibukunle as Treasurer.
Also inaugurated were executives under the Gwagwalada Area Council, including: Elekuro Abdulrazak as Chairman; Rauf Abdulgafar as Vice Chairman; Adedirant Aminat as Secretary; Adekunle Saeed as Financial Secretary; Yisa Adedayo Ibraheem as Treasurer; and Bukola Taiwo as Auditor, among others across the area councils.
Speaking on behalf of the executives, Hon. Seyi Oyeyiola expressed appreciation to the association’s leadership and members for a successful inauguration, and pledged their commitment to diligently discharge their responsibilities for the continued development of the association.
