ABUJA — Barrister Patrice Akwara, aspirant for the Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, has pledged to deliver effective representation and ensure that rural communities fully benefit from the dividends of democracy if elected in 2027.

Speaking recently at the national office of the Nigeria Democratic Congress shortly after obtaining his nomination and expression of interest forms, Barrister Akwara assured party stakeholders and supporters that his ambition is driven by a strong commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance.

He said rural communities have been left behind for too long in development planning. According to him, his legislative agenda will focus on agriculture, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and community-based economic support systems.

He also stressed that representation must be practical and visible, not distant or symbolic. He added that people should be able to feel the impact of government through better living conditions, job opportunities, and improved community projects.

His emergence reflects a growing demand among citizens for leaders who are practical, accessible, and focused on real development rather than empty political promises. Many believe the constituency needs a representative who understands daily challenges such as unemployment, lack of opportunities, and poor rural infrastructure.

Barrister Akwara is well known for his involvement in agribusiness. Supporters say this gives him an advantage in understanding how to create jobs through farming, food production, and small business support. They believe that if elected, he can use agriculture as a tool to empower young people and strengthen the local economy.

Also, his background as a lawyer is seen as an added advantage in lawmaking and representation. Supporters argue that his combination of legal knowledge and business experience will help him effectively represent the people at the National Assembly.

Barrister Akwara reportedly said his priority will be youth empowerment, education, agriculture, and community development. He maintained that leadership should be about service, not personal gain, and that elected officials must always put the people first.

His message, according to supporters, is already connecting strongly with young people and grassroots stakeholders who are calling for change and better opportunities. They describe his approach as simple, direct, and focused on development.

Political stakeholders also note that his growing support shows a shift in voter thinking, where people are paying more attention to candidates with clear plans for jobs, empowerment, and local development.

Supporters of Barrister Akwara say he represents hope for a better future in the constituency. They believe his focus on agriculture and youth empowerment can help reduce unemployment and improve living standards if properly implemented.

In simple terms, many residents see him as a candidate who understands their problems and is ready to work with the people to find solutions.

His emergence is not just about politics. It also reflects a growing desire among the people for leaders who can deliver real development, support young people, and bring government closer to the grassroots.
