Sen.Victor Ndoma-Egba has lauded Start-Rite School’s victory at the just concluded Abuja Football Tournament organised by the American International School, Abuja.
The Media and Communication Unit of the school said this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
It explained that Ndoma-Egba, who is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the school, expressed delight at the school’s performance.
According to the statement, the tournament, which took place on May 15 and May 16 featured some of Abuja’s leading schools.
”The schools include the American International School, Regent School, Abuja World Academy, Lycée Français Marcel Pagnol, and Lead British International School.
“The victory has been celebrated as more than just a sporting achievement.
“It reflects the school’s wider commitment to developing confident, disciplined, and well rounded students who can compete and excel at the highest levels, both academically and in sports.”
It added that Ndoma-Egba reaffirmed the school’s dedication to creating meaningful learning experiences that challenge the natural abilities and endowments of students.
Ndoma-Egba, who is equally the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), emphasised that the school remained intentional about sports and talent development.
“We are incredibly proud of our team for their dedication, courage, and outstanding performance throughout the competition.
“To our players, coaches, and supporters, thank you for representing Start-Rite with excellence and heart,” he was quoted as saying.
He further declared that the school would continue investing in platforms that expose students to healthy competition, high level training, and opportunities to build strong sporting profiles and competitive ratings.
He pointed to recent efforts made by the school to strengthen exposure for student athletes, including international opportunities provided for members of the swim team.
“Established by the late Mrs Amaka Ndoma-Egba, Start-Rite Schools continues to distinguish itself through an educational philosophy that combines academic excellence with sports, leadership training, and rich extracurricular opportunities.
