The city of Lafia was agog on Saturday as APC leaders, women groups and stakeholders converged for the North-Central Mega Rally in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election.
Among the key women leaders who received the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was the Director of Women Mobilization of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Betta Edu.
The rally, held October 10, 2026, was a show of solidarity for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 polls.
Dr. Edu, who is coordinating nationwide grassroots women mobilization for the PCC under the supervision of the First Lady, said her directorate is targeting 40 million women’s votes across 176,846 communities and polling units.
