Killing Of 16 Soldiers In Delta, Lawmaker Condemns Action, Appeals Against Reprisals

Ned Nwoko (PDP-Delta) has condemned the killing of soldiers by yet-to-be-identified youths of Okuama community, Ughelli South LGA, in Delta. The Nigerian Army, on Saturday, said that some of its personnel who went on a peace mission in the warring Okuama community were killed by the youth. According to the statement by the Army acting director, Defence Information, Brig.-Gen. Tukur Gusau, a commanding officer, two majors, one captain and 12 soldiers were killed.
