Ibadan: Court Remands Hospital Owner For Causing Pregnant Woman’s Death

The Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Friday, ordered the remand of a hospital owner, Dupe Ademuyiwa, 48, for allegedly causing the death of a pregnant woman through surgery. Ms Ademuyiwa, whose residential address was not provided, is charged with murder. The magistrate, Oluwabusayo Osho, did not take her plea for want of jurisdiction. Ms Osho said she needed advice from the Oyo State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). She said the defendant should be kept in the Agodi correctional facility, Ibadan, pending the DPP’s advice.
