RTEAN Holds Rally in Support of Subsidy Removal

The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) says it has scheduled Saturday for a peaceful rally nationwide in solidarity with the Federal Government over removal of petroleum subsidy. Alhaji Danlami Navom, the Secretary General of the Association, who disclosed this in an interview on Friday in Abuja, said the association had disassociated itself from other segments of the labour movement. NDLEA Lagos Command Lists Successes in 2011

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Lagos State Command, seized 10.6 tonnes of assorted hard drugs in 2011, its commander, Mr Aliyu Sule, said on Friday. Sule said in an interview in Lagos that the seizures were an increase on the 6.1 tonnes it made in 2010. (more…)

A 36 year-old woman, Mrs Aishat Abubakar of Barnawa Area in Kaduna State, on Friday sued her guardian, Alhaji Shuaibu Tanko, for refusing to take her to her parent.
