One Killed As Armed Robbers Attack Popular Phone Market In Abeokuta

The police command in Ogun on Thursday confirmed that one trader was killed on Wednesday by armed robbers who invaded a popular phone market in Abeokuta. SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police spokesman for the police in Ogun, disclosed in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Thursday that one of the armed robbers was arrested. The statement explained that the police repelled the armed robbers who invaded the Tarmac phone market located in the Oke Ilewo area of Abeokuta. At its plenary on Wednesday, the Oyo State House of Assembly confirmed the nomination of Subulade Yerima as the substantive chief judge of the state. Ms Yerima has been an acting chief judge of the state since January 16, when Justice Muntar Abimbola, her predecessor, retired. One Killed, Three Injured As Gunmen Open Fire On Police Patrol In Ikorodu

Assailants shot and killed a policeman on Friday in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, police confirmed on Monday. The assailants escaped with the rifle of the slain policeman. The Chief Magistrate Court sitting in the Yaba, area of Lagos has remanded Fredrick Nwajagu, the Eze of Ajao estate, for 30 days for threatening to bring the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to the state.
