DSS Recovers 18 “Ghana Must Go” Bags containing Cash and Documents During Raid on Emefiele’s Lagos Residence
The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly taken 18 Ghana-must-go bags containing money and documents from the Lagos residence of Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
According to the Nigerian Tribune, This occurred following a day-long search of his property, and Emefiele, who has been in custody for eight days since his arrest on June 10, may spend more time in DSS custody as investigations into his activities are far from being concluded.
The DSS obtained a court order on Thursday to detain Emefiele for three weeks. However, another source hinted that he might be held for a longer time.
It appears that Emefiele has been flown to Lagos from DSS custody in Abuja for the search.
The DSS is said to also have launched a manhunt...
