Wildlife trafficking: FG destroys seized wildlife pangolin scales, skins and others at UATH

The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), has destroyed through incinireation, a substantial quantity of seized wildlife products, including pangolin scales, leopard, python and crocodile skins at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH) Gwagwalada, FCT. Sharpedgenews reports that the historic initiative was to discourage wildlife traffickers, as well as boost efforts at protecting endangered species and eradicate contraband activities. Tinubu Appoints Aliyu As ICPC Chairman

President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Jigawa State, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, as the new Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). He also appointed Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu as the secretary of the commission, the Presidency announced in a statement on Tuesday. World Health Organisation (WHO) has strongly condemned an apparent attack on a hospital in northern Gaza on Tuesday that has reportedly left many hundreds of people killed and injured. Police arraign 12 sex workers in Ogun

Twelve young ladies were on Tuesday arraigned at an Abeokuta Magistrate Court over alleged prostitution and indecent behaviour. They were arraigned on a two-count charge of prostitution, behaving disorderly and in an indecent manner in public place, as well as constituting nuisance.
