Ondo Farmers Kick, Stage Mass Protest Against Akeredolu Over Plans To Displace Them From Their Villages

Farmers in over 19 villages in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State have staged a massive protest over the alleged plans by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to displace them from their villages for the benefit of a private firm owned by a Chinese company. FG will not borrow from anywhere now, says Finance minister

The Federal Government has no intention to borrow from any local or foreign organisation with its removal of subsidy on petrol and exchange rate harmonisation. The minister of Finance and Coordinating minister for the economy, Wale Edun, revealed this at the end of the inaugural Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday in Abuja. Woman, Five Others Remanded For Murder, Armed Robbery In Lagos

The Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Monday remanded six unemployed people, including a woman, for alleged murder and armed robbery. The defendants are Samson Okoya, 31; Damilola Oluwasegun, 27; Dada Oki, 27; Ahmed Suleiman, 30; Matthew Onyieagho, 29; and the woman, Mercy Abudu, 55. They all live in Badagry, Lagos State. A total of nine states states are in danger of an imminent flood after the reports that Lagdo Dam in Cameroon is set to open. The Police Command in Benue has confirmed the arrest of one Aondohemba Joseph over the death of Justice Margaret Igbetar, a retired President, Benue Customary Court of Appeal. Edo: Soldier Shot Dead During Robbery Attack On Van Conveying Money

A soldier was killed in a robbery attack in Benin on Wednesday, the police confirmed on Thursday.
