NAFDAC Seizes Products Worth N45 Million In Hawkers Outlets’ Raids

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) raided hawkers of harmful drugs at the Nyanya/Mararaba axis of Abuja on Friday. The Anambra State Government Committee on Verification of Examination Fraud involving Mmesoma Ejikeme has said she manipulated her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result. Trader jailed 8 month for stealing a wheelbarrow

A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Thursday sentenced a 24-year-old trader , Ahubakar Usman, to eight months imprisonment for stealing a wheelbarrow. The judge, Mr Shawomi Bokkos, summarily sentenced Usman after he pleaded guilty to theft. Bokkos, however, gave the convict an option to pay N50,000 fine and compensation of N12,000 to the complainant. The judge said the punishment would serve as deterrent to other would-be offenders.
