TETFund Approve 130m For Each Polytechnic

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has approved N130,000,000.00 per polytechnic towards the 2023 intervention line. The aim is to improve skills acquisition in polytechnics across Nigeria. Buhari Mika’Ilu, the Director of Infrastructure of the Fund, made this known at the TETFund/NBTE Sensitisation Workshop on the 2023 Zonal Intervention on Skills. Suspected Gunmen Shot Dead UI Professor

Gunmen suspected to be hired assassins have shot Opeyemi Ajewole, a Professor of Social and Environmental Forestry at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan in Oyo State. Oil Prices Rise As Saudi Announces Production Cut

Oil prices were on the rise on Monday following Saudi Arabia’s announcement that it would cut its oil output by one million barrels a day in July. The price of a barrel (159 litres) of North Sea Brent for delivery in August stood at $77.03 on Monday morning, 90 cents more than on Friday. The price of a barrel of U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for July delivery rose by 92 cents to $72.66. Prices had risen even more significantly at times overnight.
