The attention of the Indigenous Social Democratic Party Intergriry Group ( ISDPIG) Nasarawa State, have been drawn to the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, Senator-elect Nasarawa West by National Working Committee ( NWC) of the party as Coordinator of Senators elect of Social Democratic party ( SDP) in the 10th National Assembly.
The group led by
Mallam Abu Isah, its Chairman notes that the appointment of Wadada is capable of causing crisis in the party at the National level and Nasarawa State, as Wadada is not the most ranking senator under SDP.
Its a fact that Sen. Godiya Akwashiki, the incumbent senator for Nasarawa North is the most ranking in the party and should be appointed to coordinate the party’s cancus.
We would like advise the National leadership of SDP to reverse Wadada’s appointment in the interest of peace and for the growth of the party.
” We the Indigenous Social Democratic Party ( SDP) Intergriry Group, Nasarawa State reject the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as the Coordinator of SDP senator elect in the 10th national Assembly.
In the interest of fairness ad Justice, Sen. Godiya Akwashiki is the most ranking Senator under SDP both in the national and state level.
Why is it that the leadership of SDP refused to appoint Sen. Akwashiki since he is the most ranking Senator under SDP.
We advise the SDP National Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Gabam not to cause problem to the party.
We note that the party chairman Alhaji Shehu Gabam is an Hausa Fulani from Bauchi State. and Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, an Hausa Fulani man from Nasarawa. This is not an Hausa Fulani party.
We, therefore, give the National leadership of the party 48 hours ultimatumto reverse Wadada’s appointment or we lead a protest to the National and State Secretariat of the party.
The group also urged the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Shehu Gabam to respect seniority in the Senate, especially that Sen. Godiya Akwashiki is the most ranking Senator and Chairman, National Assembly members Cancus from Nasarawa State.
