FRSC Warns Against Speeding As 28 Die In Ondo Auto Crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has warned motorists against speeding and traffic violations in order to reduce road crashes, loss of lives and property. Samuel Ibitoye, sector commander, FRSC, Ondo State Command, gave the advice on Sunday in Ore while confirming a fatal accident which occurred in Ore in Odigbo Local Government area of the state. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that no fewer than 28 people burnt to death on Saturday evening in a fatal accident involving two vehicles at Mile 49 on the Ore-Lagos Expressway. Ondo Nurses, Midwives Embark On Strike Over Poor Remuneration

Nurses in Ondo State have declared an indefinite strike from Friday over what they referred to as improper remuneration and poor welfare. Appeal Court Upholds Death Sentence On Hilton Hotel Owner Adedoyin Over OAU Student’s Murder

The Court of Appeal, Akure Division, on Thursday, upheld the death sentence passed on Dr Rahmon Adedoyin for the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State. Adegoke was killed between November 5, 2021 and November 7, 2021, while he lodged at Hilton hotel in Ile-Ife, owned by Adedoyin.
