NAFDAC cautions Nigerians against consumption of sodium

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has advised Nigerians to stop the consumption of sodium (non-iodised salt) to prevent health complications. The Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Christianah Adeyeye, gave the advice, at the University of Abuja, at a stakeholders meeting on ‘Evaluation Implementation and Scale-up of Nigeria’s National Sodium Reduction Activities.
