DEPUTY SENATE PRESIDENT, SENATOR JIBRIN BARAU, SECURES ₦19BN FOR KANO-GWARZO-DAYI ROAD, CONSTRUCTION TO RESUME SOON

Residents of Kano, Gwarzo, and Dayi communities have received cheering news as the Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, has announced that construction work on the long-awaited Kano-Gwarzo-Dayi Road will soon resume.

The development followed a high-level meeting between Senator Barau and the Deputy Managing Director of CGC Nigeria Limited, Mr. Lv Haiming, held in Abuja.

According to the Deputy Senate President, all necessary arrangements have now been concluded, leading to the approval and award of ₦19 billion for the execution of the important road project.

He explained that the project aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, which focuses on delivering quality infrastructure that directly improves the lives of Nigerians at the grassroots.

Community leaders, traders, farmers, and transport operators in the area have welcomed the development, describing it as a major relief after years of hardship caused by poor road conditions.

The Kano-Gwarzo-Dayi Road serves as a major link connecting several towns and villages, making it easier for people to transport farm produce, goods, and services to nearby markets.

With the resumption of work, residents are hopeful that the project will boost economic activities, reduce travel time, and improve safety on the route.

Many people in the affected communities have praised Senator Barau for his commitment to their welfare, noting that the project will bring lasting development and create new opportunities for youths and small businesses.
