First Lady condoles Musawa on mother’s death

The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has condoled with the Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, over the death of her mother.

Tinubu conveyed her condolences during a visit to the bereaved family on Tuesday in Abuja.

She was represented by the Wife of the Vice-President, Hajiya Nana Shettima.

The First Lady said the loss of a loved one was painful but urged the family to take solace in God and the impactful life lived by the deceased.

“Death is an inevitable part of life and the will of Almighty God. Every soul shall taste death when its appointed time comes.

“The late matriarch lived a worthy and impactful life, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of service, compassion and dedication to humanity,” she said.

The First Lady prayed for God’s comfort, strength and grace upon the family, asking God to grant them fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“I pray that Almighty Allah grants the family comfort and strength during this difficult period and gives the departed eternal rest,” she added.

The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that members of the delegation included the Wife of the Senate President, Mrs Ekaette Akpabio, Wife of the Deputy Senate President, Hajiya Laila Barau and Chief Whip Yagana Monguno.

NAN also reports that the visit underscored the First Lady’s solidarity with the minister and her family as they mourn the passing of the family matriarch.
