Guinness World Record Hands Over Award for Longest Cooking Record to Hilda Baci

The Guinness world record has finally handed Hilda Baci her award for the longest cooking marathon.

This was announced on the Twitter page of the Guinness world record

“After reviewing all the footage, we’re delighted to announce that Hilda Baci is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual) “

Hilda Baci, a 26-year-old Nigerian chef, has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon (individual).

She cooked over 100 pots of food during her four-day kitchen stint from 11-15 May.

Although she attempted to set a record of 100 hours, a deduction of almost seven hours was made as she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks.

Hilda attempted this record to “put Nigerian cuisine on the map” and “to inspire young African women to chase their dreams.”

She also prepared for the event by creating a 35-item menu “as a guide” to cook every meal.

Her cook-a-thon was so popular on social media that the website crashed for two days due to the immense volume of traffic.

High-profile Nigerian figures visited Hilda to support her, including the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and award-winning singer Tiwa Savage.
