Nigeria’s vice president Kashim Shettima, the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of Labour Party (LP), Julius Abure, the acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum are among those currently seated as the presidential election tribunal commences its ruling.
Abure is representing LP, May Agbamuche is representing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Shettima is representing himself as 3rd respondent, while Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is representing his party.
Haruna Tsammani, one of the judges, has started reading the judgment in the petition filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), at the time of reporting.
The case of the APM hinged solely on the non-qualification of President Bola Tinubu and Shettima to contest the February 25, 2023 election.
