The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has rewarded exceptional members of its staff for their contributions to advancing the country’s digital economy.
The event brought together top management, board members, and staff of the Commission.
The NCC Staff Awards Night is part of the Commission’s broader strategy to promote a culture of excellence, reward productivity, and inspire continuous improvement among its personnel.
The award night highlighted the critical role of human capital in achieving Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.
The NCC noted that the award recipients have consistently demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation, and dedication—qualities considered essential to driving the Federal Government’s vision of a more inclusive and digitally connected nation.
The Chairman of the NCC Governing Board, Idris Olorunnimbe, hailed the idea of celebrating the Commission’s workers.
Olorunnimbe, who is also the Founder and Group Chief Executive of The Temple Management Company, owners of Ogidi Studios, said the awards were dedicated to recognising the “true heartbeat” of the organisation.
He noted that no institution can outperform the quality and commitment of its workforce, noting that the Commission’s staff have continually distinguished themselves through professionalism and resilience.
“An organisation is only as strong as its people,” he stated, adding that the dedication, innovation, and tireless efforts of NCC employees remain the driving force behind its sustained impact in Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.
Olorunnimbe further linked the Commission’s progress to the broader policy direction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the staff’s contributions are pivotal to delivering the digital transformation goals embedded in the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
“Your continued excellence is instrumental in driving the digital transformation at the core of PBAT’s Renewed Hope agenda, building a more connected and prosperous Nigeria for all,” he said in a statement shared via his verified social media account.
He expressed appreciation to both the award recipients and the entire NCC workforce, commending their unwavering commitment to national development.
