The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has paid glowing tribute to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, as he marks his 60th birthday.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, the Institute’s President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, commended the minister’s outstanding contributions to the field of communication and national service.
He described Idris as an “Icon of Reputation,” highlighting his professionalism, ethical standards, and steady leadership as qualities that have strengthened public communication and earned him widespread respect within and beyond the profession.

“Idris remains an Icon of reputation, an embodiment of public relations values, a role model and beacon of hope for younger generations in the field of communication.
“His journey to the exalted position of becoming the nation’s spokesperson reflects intentionality, determination and desire to serve, anchored on professionalism, preparation and unwavering commitment to make a difference.
“Today, he has made the difference,” he said.
Neliaku added: “As a proud Fellow of our great Institute, Idris has tenaciously upheld standards, ethics of the public relations profession and today, standing as a shining example of responsible communication.
“More importantly, we are delighted to note that right from assumption of office till date, Idris has carried out his duties with utmost diligence and high sense of professionalism.
“His calm disposition and professional competence in managing public communication have brought tremendous value to President Bola Tinubu’s administration”.
The NIPR boss celebrated Idris’ courage, capacity and boldness in applying the tenets of public relations in the discharge of his daily duties, especially, during trying times.
“While we celebrate with him, we pray for God’s continuous wisdom and grace as he keeps flying the flag of professionalism and excellence. Congratulations to a gentleman,” he said. (NAN)
