The Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU) has announced that preparations are in top gear for its 16th Annual Conference, which will bring together legal professionals, Policymakers, Academics, Judges, and Technology experts from across Africa and beyond to examine the future of the legal profession in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The conference, scheduled to be held from 31 August to 2 September 2026 at the prestigious InterContinental Semiramis Hotel, Cairo, Egypt, will be held under the theme:
“The African Lawyer in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Leveraging Technology to Achieve a Just and Prosperous Africa.”
His Excellency Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON, former Vice President of Nigeria and Professor of Law, will deliver the Keynote Address at the three-day event, which is expected to attract some of Africa’s best minds.
Over three remarkable days, participants will engage with leading judges, Senior Advocates, Legal Practitioners, Academics, Policymakers, Regulators, and Technology experts as they examine how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping Legal Practice, Justice systems, Governance, business, and the Rule of Law across Africa.
