The Nigerian Police Force, NPF. has declared Kazeem Iyiade Adekunle wanted for alleged homosexuality.
The Nigeria Police Force is seeking information regarding the whereabouts of Kazeem who is 43 years old. who is wanted in connection with an investigation into an alleged same sex relationship for so many years, which is against the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act 2013. According to police authorities, the individual is being sought to assist with ongoing inquiries relating to the alleged bisexual act. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the nearest police station or the designated investigating officer. Members of the public are advised not to take any action on their own and should report relevant information directly to law enforcement authorities.
This notice is issued as part of an ongoing investigation.
Homosexuality is an attraction between people who are of the same sex. It is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by 14 years imprisonment.
According to the police statement, the 43 years old is from Ogun State of Nigeria. He has been reported several times over involvement in bi sexual act.
Upon being caught, he fled the scene of the incident. Although he was subsequently invited to cooperate with authorities, it was discovered that he had absconded. Consequently, the public has been alerted and requested to report any information regarding his whereabouts.
The Police said it carried out a thorough investigation on this criminal act and found it to be true.
The police spokesman said according to information they gathered from the community that he has really involved and caught in the act.
However, he reportedly escaped in an attempt to apprehend him.
A magistrate court in Ikeja in Lagos State have issued a warrant of arrest against Kazeem.
