Students across Delta North Senatorial District have received a major lifeline as Senator Barrister Ned Nwoko has launched a Free JAMB UTME Registration Drive for 1,500 candidates for the 2026 academic year.
The initiative, aimed at strengthening access to education and reducing the financial burden on parents and guardians, is part of the senator’s ongoing commitment to human capital development and youth empowerment across the district.
Speaking on the programme, Senator Nwoko emphasized that education remains the foundation for sustainable growth and development, stressing that no qualified student should be denied the opportunity to pursue higher education because of lack of funds.
Beneficiaries will be drawn from Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ika North East, Ika South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Oshimili North, Oshimili South, and Ukwuani Local Government Areas.
To qualify, applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, and must generate their JAMB Profile Code using their National Identification Number (NIN). Required details include the applicant’s full name, JAMB Profile Code, and council ward for proper documentation and verification.
Interested candidates are expected to complete their registration on or before Sunday, February 15, 2026, through the designated online portal.
Community leaders, parents, and students have welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and people-oriented, especially at a time when many families are struggling with rising education costs.
The programme is expected to ease the burden on households, encourage more students to sit for the UTME, and boost enrollment into tertiary institutions.
Senator Nwoko reaffirmed his commitment to advancing policies and programmes that expand access to education, empower young people, and strengthen the social and economic future of Delta North.
With this intervention, thousands of youths across the district are being given renewed hope and a clearer pathway to achieve their academic dreams.
