The national chairman of APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Tuesday in Ibadan, charged different factions within the party in Oyo to work together. Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State has commended the Nigerian Army for the efforts of troops in tackling insecurity and restoring peace and stability in the state. Radda gave the commendation, when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, on Monday in Abuja. Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu has assured that Nigeria will support the African Union (AU) to attain democratic stability on the continent. The Kebbi government on Monday distributed relief materials to victims of bandits’ attacks from seven villages of Sokoto and Kebbi. Two villages were attacked in Kebbi and five in Sokoto. The displaced villagers are seeking refuge in Jarkuka village in Arewa LGA of Kebbi. Ibrahim Goni, conservator general of the National Park Service (NPS), on Monday said the National Assembly had approved the commencement of 10 new national parks in the country. The Chief Judge of the Federation, Olukayode Ariwoola, on Monday, charged judges and justices to be abreast with the current issues in the telecom industry to ensure fair adjudication. The chief judge spoke during the 2023 national workshop for judges and justices on telecom issues organised by the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) in collaboration with the National Judicial Institute (NJI) in Kano. The federal government says it is planning two super highways across the country through a public-private partnership scheme. Works minister David Umahi disclosed this to State House correspondents on Sunday after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja. He said the highways would be from Abuja to Lagos and Port Harcourt to Lagos, with state-of-the-art facilities. The super highways are designed for travel at high speeds, having more than one lane for each direction of traffic and a safety strip dividing the two directions. The Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Muhammed Shehu, says that political office holders in Nigeria do not earn as much as their workers in some federal government agencies. The two civil aviation authorities signed the agreement during the African Aviation Summit in Abuja on Thursday.
