Atiku: Tribunal Judgement Has Failed To Restore Confidence In Our Dreams Of Free And Fair Elections

The former vice-president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has rejected the judgement of the presidential election petition tribunal. Abubakar, who was the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25 polls, spoke on Thursday at a press conference held at the party’s headquarters in Abuja. On Wednesday, the tribunal upheld the election of President Bola Tinubu. Police in Ekiti state have arrested 10 suspects allegedly connected to the death of a student of Federal University, Oye Ekiti. The deceased, Atanda Deborah, was a 200-level nursing student who went missing and her body was later found in a shallow grave, about 30 metres behind the Nursing Lecture Hall of the university, on Sept. 5.
