MNJTF Announces Surrender Of More Boko Haram Terrorists

Three Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered to troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in the ongoing ‘Operation Lake Sanity II’. MNJTF spokesman Ndjamena Chad disclosed this in a statement. ”In Cameroon’s Sector I, two terrorist fighters surrendered to the troops at Wulgo. They have been identified as Rawagana Mustapha, 18, and Mustapha Ali, 20. ”Similarly, Sector III in Nigeria reported the surrender of one terrorist fighter, Ibrahim Malam, 28, to the 403 Amphibious Brigade in Baga. Preliminary investigations revealed that Malam had been a Boko Haram fighter living in Kwaleram, south of Lake Chad, for six years,” he said. 17 People Killed In 16 Road Crashes In Ogun, FRSC Says

The Ogun command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says 17 persons died in 16 road crashes during the Eid-el Kabir celebration in the state.Anthony Uga, sector commander, gave the figure in an interview on Friday in Ota, Ogun. Mr Uga said that 45 people also sustained various degrees of injuries from the crashes. The sector commander said that most accidents were caused by excessive speed, dangerous driving, night travel and tyre bursts. Mr Uga stated, “We are appealing to motorists to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to prevent unnecessary loss of life, especially during this rainy season. 21 Alleged Drug Dealers Arrested With 28,622kg Of Heroin, Canadian Loud, Others- NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Special Area command, Tincan Island Port, has arrested 21 suspected drug traffickers and intercepted 28,622.389kg of illicit drugs. The agency’s narcotics commander, Mohammed Abubakar, disclosed this in a statement in Lagos on Thursday. Mr Abubakar said the arrests and interceptions were from January 2024 to June 2024. He said 14 arrested suspects had been on trial before the Federal High Court, Lagos Division. “Seizures of approximately 28,622.389 kilogrammes of various illicit drugs, including cannabis indica or Canadian loud weighing 2,232.999 kilogrammes, were made,” he said.
