Muslim Media Watch Group Condemns Islamic Scholars’ Social‑Media Feuds

The Oyo State chapter of the Muslim Media Watch Group (MMWG) has denounced the misuse of social‑media platforms by some Islamic scholars, describing the practice as “preposterous, condemnable, unacceptable and a betrayal of public trust.” In a press release signed by State Coordinator Alhaj Mas’ud Akintola and Secretary Ustadh Abdullah Adewumi, the group said the scholars often resort to public insults and “washing their dirty linen in public” when faced with criticism. A Delta State High Court sitting in Orerokpe, Wednesday, issued an ex-parte injunction stopping and barring the Inspector General of Police, IGP, the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, and Commissioner of Police, Delta State Police Command, from resuming the enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy nationwide. JAMB to accredit 1,039 CBT centres for 2026 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Wednesday announced plans to accredit a total of 1,039 Computer-Based Test centres nationwide for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is’haq Oloyede, disclosed this in Ilorin during an accreditation tour of CBT centres.
