FCT Senator distributes 2400 bags of fertiliser to farmers

  The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Philip Aduda, has distributed two thousand four hundred bags of fertilizer to rural farmers across the six area councils of the territory. Aduda, represented by his senior Legislative aid, Alhaji Ali Danjuma Kawu, while distributing the fertilizer in Bwari on Tuesday, said the gesture was to assist and encourage rural farmers in the FCT. He said farming was a major occupation among locals in the territory, hence he decided to give priority to the sector to help address challenges of food shortage in FCT.  He said the distribution of fertilizer was targeted at increasing farmers yield and bumper harvest in order to combat hunger and the current hardship being experienced by peasant farmers across ...

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Thursday said the nation’s power grid had been fully restored as at 4:59 PM on Wednesday the 28th after a grid collapse which occurred at about 12:20 pm the same day.
