World Indigenous Day: FCT Senator tasks indigenes on unity

Sen. Philip Aduda, has called for peaceful coexistence and unity among the nine indigenous tribes in the territory for the actualisation of a State status for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Aduda, who is representing the FCT, made the call during the World Indigenous Day celebration in Abuja, said that peace and unity among the indigenous tribes in the territory was the best way to achieve their struggles. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the theme for the World Indigenous Day is: “Leaving No One Behind”. The day was first marked by the UN General Assembly in December 1994. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Thursday said the nation’s power grid had been fully restored as at 4:59 PM on Wednesday the 28th after a grid collapse which occurred at about 12:20 pm the same day.
