Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held on Monday, July 13, 2026, Hon. Shekwolo described the occasion as another significant milestone in his administration’s commitment to strengthening governance and delivering quality service to the people of Kuje Area Council.

The Chairman stated that the appointments were made after a careful assessment of the appointees’ competence, integrity, character, and proven capacity to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the Area Council.

He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling the promises made to the people of Kuje, emphasizing that the newly inaugurated officials have a critical role to play in driving the government’s developmental agenda and improving the welfare of residents.

Hon. Shekwolo urged the appointees to work closely with career civil servants, respect established administrative procedures, and promote unity and collaboration in the execution of government policies and programmes.

“It is only through collaboration, commitment, discipline, and purposeful service that we can achieve the desired results and deliver the dividends of democracy to our people,” the Chairman stated.

The Executive Chairman further stressed that his administration would remain performance-driven, noting that excellence, transparency, and accountability would be the benchmarks for assessing every appointee.

He warned that complacency, indiscipline, abuse of office, or any act capable of undermining the integrity and credibility of the government would not be tolerated.
According to him, service to the people remains the primary responsibility of every public office holder, adding that any appointee who fails to meet the expected standards of performance would be relieved of his or her appointment without hesitation.

Hon. Shekwolo congratulated the newly inaugurated Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers, and Senior Special Assistants and expressed confidence in their ability to make meaningful contributions toward building a more peaceful, prosperous, and progressive Kuje Area Council.

In his goodwill message, the Mandate Secretary, Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat, FCTA, Hon. Suleiman Abdullah Ango, congratulated the appointees and urged them to remain loyal to the administration while faithfully upholding the oath of office and oath of secrecy they had taken.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Tanko Yamawo, described the appointments as a call to selfless service. He advised the appointees not to take the opportunity for granted but to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication, integrity, and hard work.
