A socio-political group, the Oyo Rising Citizens Forum, ORCF, has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress and Senator Sharafadeen Alli for their joint efforts in reconciling four of the governorship aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The aspirants, who include former Oyo State Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan, Hakeem Alao, Musibau Ashanike, and Usman Bakare have pledged to work with the party and Alli, fulfilling an earlier promise by the senator to unite all aggrieved members.
In a statement signed by Aderemi Adebisi and Owolabi Salam, the forum praised the APC Reconciliatory Committee, led by Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, and noted that Alli’s willingness to embrace dialogue was key to the breakthrough.
The group urged the remaining aggrieved aspirants to follow suit to ensure a unified front for the party come 2027.
“Now that the controversy regarding the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State has been laid to rest and the ongoing reconciliation is achieving good results, all aggrieved aspirants of the party must put aside their grievances and work for the success of the party at all levels. Senator Sharafadeen Alli is more than just a candidate; he is a grassroots politician whose doors of reconciliation are never closed.”
